The Trustees were given permission to lay a wreath at the 1st World War memorial. Two wreaths were laid this year – one on behalf of the Trust, and one on behalf of the “Churches Together in England” laid by our chairman, Richard Norburn. Also remembered were Private William Edwin Richardson and Trooper Needham Carnall Shelton who died in the 2nd Boer War. Both are commemorated on a plaque in the church (see https://belgraveheritagetrust.org/st-peters-church/st-peters-boer-war-memorial/ ).
