Every Christmas, Belgrave Heritage Trust organises a party as a ‘thank you’ to all our members for their support during the year. After being fed and watered, our guests are treated to a quiz.
This year, instead of pictures of film celebrities or tv shows, Jane Welch offered us a number of items of tableware and we were invited to identify them. If the answers include a lobster pick, a carving knife stand and a sugar spoon you know this is no ordinary quiz. When the answers were revealed there were many groans of frustration and a few cheers of successful identification.
So thank you, Jane for putting together such an interesting talk. It was noticeable, however, that while many sympathised with Jane over the amount of silver polishing that had been needed, there were very few offers of help!
We rounded off the event with a raffle, and our guests so generously added their own contributions to the prizes that almost everyone went home, clutching a prize!
Thank you to all our members and supporters for all everything you do to make Belgrave Heritage Trust a continuing success – we couldn’t have done it without you.
