When we were invited to use the “old Laundry” room in 2022, we had very little time to plan the layout. The room was set up very quickly and not to our total satisfaction, but we decided to leave it for the season and learn what did, and more importantly what didn’t, work from a visitor’s perspective. Over the winter period a lot of thought went into how we could improve the layout, and we now have a new layout for 2023 which we think is more welcoming, visually less imposing, and overall much more friendly.
We would like you to come and visit us and share your memories and refresh those that are long forgotten. Even better – would you like to volunteer to help us to “meet and greet” visitors to our display? You would not be expected to become a guide – we just need volunteers to be in attendance to try and answer any questions that visitors may have, or provide them with details of where the information can be found. No experience is needed, and no formal training is necessary.
The display is open every Wednesday and on the first full weekend of the month, April – September, 11am -4pm.
For 2023, the weekend dates are: June 3rd and 4th, July 1st and 2nd, August 5th and 6th, September 2nd and 3rd.
