St. Peter’s 1914 – 1918 War Memorial

St. Peter’s 1914 – 1918 War Memorial

The memorial records the names of 149 men of Belgrave who gave their lives for their country in the First World War. We can read their names, but know little of their personal details – until now. Thanks to research by Kevin Farmer, who has made the information available for publication on our website, we can provide details of their military service, where they lived in Belgrave (and beyond), and where they are buried. To make access to the information easier, the information is available in three files: Service details lists  Surname, Middle initial, Service Number, Rank, date Died, Age, Approximate Date of Birth and the Regiment/Corp/Ship where they served. Burial details lists their Surname, Service Number, Rank,  date they died and where they are buried. Family details lists their Rank, First Name, Surname, Wife’s name (where known) and their address.
